Sberbank is the largest bank of Russia. While is reports are to be believed, the largest Russian lender is set to bring out its “own cryptocurrency”. The new cryptocurrency is likely to be called as “Sbercoin”, while the chief executive officer of the bank, Herman Gref said that the new introduction could be expected in 2021.
Moreover, Gref further mentioned about Sberbank joining hands with JP Morgan as both will be working on the preparation of the above mentioned cryptocurrency. As of now, the plan covers an experimental launch of the new cryptocurrency by the coming year.
