Strategic Partnership Over ‘Industry Cloud’ Binds Volkswagen & Amazon

Reports reveal that the German auto-makers and the U.S. retail giant have come together with a strategic agenda, details of which to follow.



Volkswagen, the auto manufacturer of Germany have entered into an agreement with Amazon.com, whereby the duo is set to explore their “strategic partnership” for creating a unique “industry could”, reported Sueddeutsche, the German based newspaper on Wednesday, March 27 2019.
 
However, it also added that further details about this partnership venture will soon be revealed through announcement. The sources cited by the newspaper were unnamed, which claimed that Volkswagen informed about Amazon part in the initiative.
 
The role played by Amazon would be a key contribution in this project especially in helping the auto maker of Germany in improving the “productivity of its factories”.
