Swiss authorities order Booking.com to cut commissions for hotels

As per the directive, Booking.com is required to reduce commissions for hotels in Switzerland by nearly 25%. The regulator thinks they are “excessive to the level of exploitation”. 

Booking.com has promised to challenge the decision and will not adjust commissions until the process is complete. 

The service stated, “We do not support a mandatory decrease in the price of a completely optional product.”
