A total of 76.7 million US citizens have already received two doses of the vaccine so far, according to the CDC. That's 23.1% of the country's total population. At the same time, the number of prescribed vaccines has almost reached the mark of 200 million, and about 124 million people have received at least one dose.

The CDC's statistics on vaccinated but sick citizens includes those who received a second vaccination at least two weeks before diagnosis.

Therefore, only 66 million vaccinated Americans are counted. Thus, the proportion of citizens who fell ill after vaccination was only 0.008%. According to the oversight body, almost 30% of vaccinated citizens had no symptoms at all. However, 7% needed hospitalisation and 74 people died as a result.
