A deal between India and the US for a system of global minimum taxes is almost complete, announced US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen following a meeting with the Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Gandhinagar on Monday.
According to Yellen, an agreement on a system of global minimum taxes is almost complete. The US, according to her, "looks forward to working with India on an investment platform that will lower the cost of capital and increase private investment to accelerate India's clean energy transition."
For her part, Sitharaman expressed excitement about advancing India-US cooperation to create and increase investment prospects for renewable energy.
