A US official told Axios that the talks are expected to take place this weekend "somewhere in the US, likely in Miami, involving working groups, military representatives, and a review of maps."
An Axios source indicated that "90% of the problematic issues between the US and Ukraine have been resolved, but there are still some unresolved technical matters that need to be discussed."
The two primary areas of disagreement during the ongoing talks were the security assurances Ukraine will receive from the US and its European allies, as well as the issue of territorial boundaries, the publication noted.
On Monday, Sky News, citing US officials, reported that Washington is expecting Kyiv to "make a final decision on the territories."
