According to Bloomberg, which cited a source with knowledge of the matter, US President Joe Biden will discuss cooperation with Japanese and Dutch authorities on limiting China's access to semiconductor technology.

During the next trips to Washington by the leaders of Japan and the Netherlands, President Joe Biden will discuss cooperation on limiting China's access to semiconductor technology, the agency said.

On Friday, Biden will meet with the prime minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, and on Tuesday with the prime minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte. There won't likely be any agreements announced.

According to a report from December 2022, Japan and the Netherlands would shortly declare some restrictions on the export of advanced semiconductor manufacturing machinery to China. According to reports, Japan and the Netherlands have struck a preliminary agreement to join the US in imposing export restrictions on machinery used in sophisticated chip fabrication.
