Bank of Italy Head forecasts GDP growth in 2023


According to projections, Italy's GDP will rise by roughly 1% in 2023. Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco noted that the Italian economy has fared better than anticipated in overcoming recent setbacks.

The head of the Italian central bank asserted that the economy of the nation has demonstrated a "compelling ability to respond" to recent economic challenges like the coronavirus outbreak and the war in Ukraine.

Italy handled the "energy shock better than we anticipated," according to Visco, who noted that the country had "demonstrated a remarkable ability to resist and respond in recent years in the face of shocks of extraordinary strength."
