As stated in the company's press release, revenue for the period from January to June reached £12.24 billion ($16.45 billion), up from £12.07 billion during the same timeframe last year. This signifies a 2.9% rise, excluding currency exchange effects.

BAT's net profit for the first half dropped to £3.16 billion, compared to £4.51 billion in the previous year. Earnings per share decreased by 28.6% to 145.3 pence.

Adjusted earnings per share, on the other hand, rose 7.9% to 164 pence. BAT's internal consensus projection for earnings per share stood at 158.5 pence.

According to the press release, BAT still anticipates that revenue and operating profit growth in 2026 will be nearer to the lower end of its guidance range of 4-6%.

Projected growth in adjusted earnings per share is anticipated to fall within the mid-range of 5-8%, as opposed to the earlier estimate that leaned towards the lower end.
