Rattan is everywhere, from the pages of fashion magazines to major retailers. How about trying the vintage version?

Rattan comes from various species of palm trees in Southeast Asia, especially the Philippines and Indonesia. Its sturdy vines can be twisted without breaking. In the 1950s and 1960s, it brightened up country houses. Today, rattan adds a more chic retro touch to city interiors in need of a breath of fresh air. Read more
