Ford sells record number of electric vehicles in the U.S. in Q3

Sales of passenger cars were down 5.1%, sales of SUVs were down 0.1%, and sales of trucks were up 15.3%.

Sales of hybrid vehicles increased by 41.4% and reached a record-high 34,861 units. 11.2% of all vehicle sales were electric automobiles.

Internal combustion engine car sales fell by 5.4% during the same time.

Ford brand vehicle sales rose by 8% to 480,121 units, while Lincoln brand sales decreased by 1.8% to 20,383 units.
