"IMF staff has raised the (forecast) for the real GDP growth for 2023 to a range of 1 to 3% (after the previous range of -3 to +1% when the expanded funding mechanism was approved)," the paper stated.

The international organization notes that the Ukrainian economy demonstrates "notable resilience". The IMF sees signs of "gradual economic recovery" of Ukraine in 2023 given that "the forecast remains highly uncertain" due to the ongoing conflict.

In addition, the IMF reached an agreement at the staff level with the Ukrainian authorities, which makes it possible to transfer a new tranche of financing in the amount of $900 million.
