Over 170,000 residents in Spain have either evacuated or restricted their movements due to wildfires

According to the newspaper ABC, citing government estimates, over 170,000 residents in Spain have been compelled to evacuate or limit their movements because of wildfires spreading in recent days.

In the areas of Avila, Toledo, and the Madrid region, over 63,000 individuals have been evacuated, and almost 28,000 have been instructed to stay in their homes for safety reasons.

Additional 16,000 people have been relocated in Castellón province, while 65,000 have been advised to stay in their residences.

In Spain, firefighters, joined by peers from various countries, persist in their efforts to control the fires, yet the overall situation continues to be dangerous.
